PAIN & SUFFERING cont……

Three Views of Suffering

As we see calamity and suffering , we must remember that we live in a fallen world where good behavior is not always rewarded and bad behavior is not always punished.

  • SATAN’S VIEW…….People believe in God only when they’re prospering and not suffering. This is wrong.
  • JOB’S 3 FRIENDS VIEW……Suffering is God’s judgment for sin. This is not always true.
  •  GOD’S VIEW……….Suffering causes us to trust God for who He is, not what He does.

SUPPORTING SONGS

day

ARTIST: THIRD DAY                                  ALBUM: WHEREVER YOU ARE                                                      SONG: TUNNEL

I won't pretend to know what you're thinking
I can't begin to know what you're going through
I won't deny the pain that you're feeling
But I'm gonna try and give a little hope to you

Just remember what I've told you
There's so much you're living for

[Chorus]
There's a light at the end of this tunnel
There's a light at the end of this tunnel
For you, for you
There's a light at the end of this tunnel
Shinin' bright at the end of this tunnel
For you, for you

So keep holdin' on

You've got your disappointments and sorrows
You ought to share the weight of that load with me
Then you will find that the light of tomorrow
It brings a new life for your eyes to see

So remember what I've told you
There's so much you're living for

[Chorus]

So keep holdin' on
Keep holding on

So remember what I've told you
There's so much you're living for

[Chorus] x2

There's a light at the end of this tunnel
For you, for you
Shinin' bright at the end of this tunnel
For you, for you
So keep holdin' on
Keep holding on
Keep holding on, now.

You've got your disappointments and sorrows
But I'm gonna try and give a little hope to you

ARTIST: JOHN WALLER              ALBUM: WHILE I’M WAITING                SONG: WHILE I’M WAITING

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord

HANGING ON

PAIN & SUFFERING

No ordinary human likes to hurt , suffer or feel pain; however as long as you still dwell on earth; you are guaranteed to suffer affliction one time or another. Contrary to the above-mentioned; a common fable exists: “that when I surrender my life to Christ; I’ll be exempted from any pain whatsoever.” Keeping this in mind, many a saints live their (spiritual) lives victoriously, until they receive a few blows. Some keep hanging on, while others tether at the edge of the cliff-on the very edge of giving up. I (Angela Herman), have also suffered severe trauma during my lifetime and the only thing that carried me through was my personal confession of WHO God is to ME.

SILVER LINING

Our hope is to always remember that Jesus knows exactly what we’re going through for He himself suffered while on earth. He never said that it’d be easy but He did assure us that He will always-and I mean ALWAYS-be with us. So, whatever you’re going through:

  • TRUST IN HIM WHO MADE THE MOON REFLECT THE SUN EVERY STARRY NIGHT; THE ONLY ONE WHO GAVE YOU HOPE WHEN YOUNHAD NONE,
  • REFLECT ON YOUR PAST VICTORIES-GOD IS NEVER CHANGING, and
  • REMEMBER ALL THAT GOD IS TO YOU….PERSONALLY.

The Youth in Pictures

Every Saturday (unless something comes in the way) The Radical Indispensable Youth gather at the Immanuel Shifidi High School hall for the youth services. After it's dismissed, fellowship with the brethren begins..

The youth drama ministry is composed of vibrant Christian youth and it was established in late 2010 in the beginning of the entire youth ministry. They perform various skits, plays and do outreaches at schools mainly high schools across Windhoek. They are currently under the leadership of Avril Kulman who recently took over as leader. With their "fun to watch" acting abilities, God is ministering to other youths via this ministry!

Youth Service with Pastor Antonio (20/10/2012)

Pastor Antonio Kashaka preached a sermon for the youth on the 20th October 2012. The youth came out in number once again (140 people). The title of the sermon was "Extra Oil" where he encouraged the youth to remain filled with the Holy Ghost. The youth choir sang two songs and at the end of the service 4 youth gave their lives to Jesus. Glory to God!

Youth Service Held Outside on Saturday (06/10/2012)

This was the Saturday that Pastor Antonio Kashaka was supposed to preach for the youth, but unfortunately the hall we use for our worship services was being used for other activities that were out of our control. Nevertheless, the kingdom of God keeps on advancing, and the youth improvised a venue outside of the hall.

Leiden preached a sermon entitled "Dancing With My Father" a powerful message on missing fathers and more. Few souls got saved and some rededicated their lives back to the Lord. The Youth Choir also sang a song titled "Wait On The Lord" encouraging the youthful saints to wait on the Lord in their particular situations. What a glorious afternoon, praise Jesus!

(NB! Pastor Antonio will still preach for the youth on the 20th of October 2012)

Testimony: Our Youth Leader, Leiden Muonde

Leiden

My name is Leiden Muonde and i recently took over as leader of The Radical Indispensable Youth from the previous leader, Felix Tjirimuje. Before i got saved, I used to be a big time drunkard, full of pride, bound in fornication, cigarette smoking, lust and all sorts of evil one can imagine. On the 5th of September 2008, Felix shared the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ with me and on that faithful day, I received Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. My life has never been the same since then. Glory to Jesus!
